Requirements

Commitment to Growth
Teams should have at least one Principal Investigator (PI) and one Entrepreneurial Lead (EL) co-founder. Two founders are required.
Market Validation Focus
Teams will work on Strong and defensible IP, Business model, and Product-market fit.
Willingness to Travel
Applicants must be prepared to travel to Los Angeles to implement pilots and attend the IGNITE22 Summit.

Who Should Apply

We’re looking for startups with innovative solutions related to the blue economy, from fresh water and ocean-focused projects to logistics, cybersecurity, and clean energy. Ideal applicants should:
Focus Areas
Water Management, Robotics Hardware, Marine Transport, BlueTech, AgriTech, Ocean Ecology, and more.
Global Reach
Companies incorporated in Asia, Australia/NZ, Europe, Middle East, North and South America are welcome.
Development Stage
Prototype to early user stages (including paying users).
Funding Stage
Angel, Pre-seed, or Seed, with or without prior funding.
Market Readiness
Teams with or without revenue, actively raising or not raising funds.
The program is offered at Braid Theory’s co-working space, Braid Space, at AltaSea at The Port of Los Angeles. To be eligible for the Blue Future Incubator, companies must be ready to grow their businesses and create jobs in the city of Los Angeles.
